ALTERNATIVE SEAL COOLING SYSTEM FOR REACTOR COOLANT PUMPS OF NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS

The present invention relates to an automatic control system to protect a sealing device of a reactor coolant pump (RCP) of a nuclear power plant, which is an automatic control system comprising a main device cooling water storage tank part supplying cooling water to protect a sealing device part of the RCP of the nuclear power plant. The automatic control system further comprises: an alternative device cooling water storage tank part storing the cooling water supplied to the sealing device part of the RCP of the nuclear power plant, and supplying alternative cooling water when the main device cooling water storage tank is lost; a main seal water storage tank part supplying the alternative cooling water when the alternative device cooling water storage tank part is lost; an alternative seal water storage tank part supplying the alternative cooling water when the main seal water storage tank part is lost; and a signal delay part provided in the main device cooling water storage tank part and the alternative device cooling water storage tank part, and delaying a loss signal after delaying the loss signal for a predetermined time when the cooling water is lost.
