The present invention relates to an oriental herbal medicine composition which has an effect of improving liver functions by comprising active ingredients of Lycium chinense, Chinese quince, Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus, Cornus officinalis, Actinidia polygama, Phragmites australis, green tea, onions, Zizyphus jujuba Mill var. inermis Rehder, Valeriana officinalis L. extract powder, brewers yeast, chicken sternum cartilage powder, honey, betaine, Hovenia dulcis extract powder, and red ginseng; and to a preparation method of the same. The oriental herbal medicine composition comprising Lycium chinense of the present invention comprises: 1-30 parts by weight of Lycium chinense; 1-30 parts by weight of Chinese quince; 1-20 parts by weight of Cornus officinalis; 1-20 parts by weight of betaine; 1-10 parts by weight of red ginseng; 1-10 parts by weight of Hovenia dulcis extract powder; 1-30 parts by weight of honey; 1-30 parts by weight of Actinidia polygama fruits; 1-20 parts by weight of brewers yeast; 1-20 parts by weight of Zizyphus jujuba Mill var. inermis Rehder; 1-20 parts by weight of Phragmites australis; 1-20 parts by weight of green tea; 1-20 parts by weight of Eleutherococcus sessiliflorus; 1-20 parts by weight of Valeriana officinalis L. extract powder; 1-20 parts by weight of chicken sternum cartilage powder; and 1-10 parts by weight of onions. Additionally, the present invention provides a preparation method of an oriental herbal medicine composition comprising Lycium chinense for improving liver functions. According to the present invention, the oriental herbal medicine composition may be beneficially used to improve liver functions by comprising effective components including Lycium chinense, Chinese quince, and Valeriana officinalis L. extract.
