FIELD: gas industry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to of exhaust gases post-treatment by means of catalyst with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and particles filter-trap. Disclosed is method of vehicle power plant control, including control over amount (MS) of crystals based on of reducer in exhaust line (11) and/or in injection device (13) and amount (MN) of hydrocarbons, contained in catalyst (SCR), and performance of particles filter-trap (20) periodic regeneration stages (E1), each of which is started depending on criteria, independent of soot amount (MP), contained in particles filter-trap (20).;EFFECT: technical result is limitation of reducing agent crystals amount in exhaust line and in injector device and amount of unburnt hydrocarbons accumulated on SCR catalyst.;14 cl, 5 dwg
