FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil producing industry. The method of development of high-viscous and ultra high-viscous oil by thermal methods at the later stage of development involves steam injection into wells, heating of the producing formation with creation of the steam chamber, extraction of oil through production wells at the late stage of development, termination of steam injection, nitrogen injection into the steam chamber and simultaneously produced water into the reservoir. Also, before injection of produced water and nitrogen the absolute mark of sole and top part of the steam chamber is determined. The produced water is pumped into the reservoir below the absolute level of the shoe part of the steam chamber through the evaluation and monitoring wells, located on the boundary of the outline formed by the vapor chamber.;EFFECT: invention reduces energy costs by reducing the volume of steam injection into the reservoir, increasing the flow rate 2-2,5 times from the developed field of high-viscous and ultra high-viscous oil at the late stage of development, prevention of man-caused collapse of rocks above work-out fields.
