FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: method suggests use of a spectrum analyzer to monitor a signal from the microphone output. Determination of technical state of the bearing supports is made by analysis of the received spectrum of frequencies in range from 4 to 30 kHz, diagnostics of running engine is performed for at least 1 minute, additionally the frequencies are determined, they correspond to the device noise linked with measurements and non-linear oscillations occurred in the engine housing, and presence of the diagnostic frequencies deviating by at least 5% from the frequencies corresponding to device noises are identified. Wherein the diagnostic frequencies with similar spacing are identified. Upon presence of at least 10 diagnostic frequencies terminate the engine operation for next repair.;EFFECT: increased accuracy of bearing faults diagnostic.;4 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
