FIELD: aviation.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the area of safe application of polymer composition materials in structures of the return vehicle body of a manned spacecraft. For determination of applicability of polymer composition materials for application in structures of the return vehicle body with respect to the fire safety, a calculation and experimental method with the formulation for determination of combustion limits for polymer composition materials in terms of concentration of the oxidizing atmosphere of a planet at an increased temperature of a polymer composition material is proposed. For determination of applicability of polymer composition materials for application with respect to a strength after exposure of structure components of the return vehicle body performed of polymer composition materials to high temperatures and pressures of a planet atmosphere corresponding to such temperature by time, an experimental method including the keeping of components performed of polymer composition materials in a climatic chamber at temperatures and pressures corresponding to such temperatures varying in the climatic chamber according the law of variation of these parameters from the period of atmospheric penetration of a return vehicle and to the period of cooling down of the return vehicle body after completion of its aerodynamic braking, to the moment of reaching a temperature, at which there no thermal destruction of a polymer composition material binder takes place, is proposed.;EFFECT: invention provides obtaining of more accurate and reliable data.;5 dwg, 2 tbl
