APAA is located at a given distance from the auxiliary antenna, emits the generated electromagnetic field in the direction of the investigated APAA and receives signals emitted by the auxiliary antenna being investigated by APAA. With a fixed pivoting device, the complex transmission coefficients of each receiver channel are measured, forming calibration coefficients on the basis thereof in the reception mode. Then, the received APAA signals sent by the auxiliary antenna are received and the complex transmission factors of each receiving channel are measured, forming on their basis the complex DF of the receiving channels, taking into account the sphericity of the phase front of the received electromagnetic wave and the generated calibration coefficients in the reception mode, by rotating the APAA located on pivoting device. DF APAA in the reception mode is determined on the basis of the mathematical model, using the generated complex DF of the receiving channels. To obtain DF APAA in the transmission mode, the signal conditioner is connected in turn to the input of each APAA transmission channel, the complex transmission coefficient of the transmission channel is measured with the fixed rotary device and without open APAA radiation in the free space and converted into amplitude and phase of the signal.
