The invention relates to a construction machine, in particular a construction vehicle, with at least one outer wall, a fluid tank, a device for determining the level of the fluid tank and a level indicator. Essential for the invention is the arrangement of the fluid display in the outer area of the construction machine in order to control from the outside the level, especially during a driving work operation. Further aspects of the invention reside in a retrofit kit as well as in a method for displaying a fill level of a fluid tank of a construction machine. The invention relates in particular to large-scale construction machines, especially road pavers, asphalt rollers, tank vehicles, gritting vehicles, refuse compactors and ground milling machines, in particular road milling machines, stabilizers or recyclers.
