Proposed is a method for condition monitoring of a bearing that supports a planetary gear of a planetary gear on a planet carrier. The method includes measuring body sound of the planetary gear at a fixed position on the planetary gear to generate a digital measurement signal. The measuring signal in this case has a sample at at least one sampling time. Furthermore, the method includes determining a relative speed of the planetary gear to the fixed position for the sampling instant and determining a corrected measuring signal. The corrected measurement signal in this case has the sample at a corrected sampling time, which is shifted depending on the relative speed to the sampling time. The method further includes forming an envelope signal based on the corrected measurement signal and determining a frequency spectrum for the envelope signal. Furthermore, the method includes comparing the frequency spectrum with at least one reference spectrum in a frequency range of interest, wherein the frequency range of interest is determined by a rotational frequency of the planet gear around the planet carrier and a geometry of the bearing.
