The present invention provides a manufacturing method for producing a fiber-reinforced metal component (1), which has a metal matrix (2), which is interspersed by a plurality of reinforcing fibers (3). An alternative manufacturing method comprises inserting an open three-dimensional fiber fabric consisting of reinforcing fibers (3) into a mold, filling a liquid metal modeling material (4) into the mold, and consolidating the metal modeling material (4) to form the metal matrix (2) of the fiber-reinforced metal component (1).
