An X-ray optics assembly (3) for an X-ray diffractometer (1), comprising a multilayer mirror (7), in particular Goebel mirrors, and a switching system (13) with which beam paths (15; 16; 17) can be selected for an X-ray beam characterized in that the X-ray optics assembly (3) further comprises a monochromator (9), in particular a channel-cut crystal (9a), and that with the switching system (13) has three beam paths (15; 16; 17) for the X-ray beam are selectable, wherein a first beam path (15) leads in a first position of the switching system (13) past the multilayer mirror (7) and past the monochromator (9), wherein a second beam path (16) in a second position of the switching system ( 13) includes the multilayer mirror (7) and passes the monochromator (9), and wherein a third beam path (17) in a third position of the switching system (13) includes the multilayer mirror (7) and contains the monochromator (9).
