The stochastic neural network chip (30) reduces one dimension of the gas pattern signals (201) to produce an analysis result (301). The memory (40) stores the gas training data (401). The microcontroller (50) receives the analysis result (201) and identifies the types of gases to be tested according to the analysis result (201).
