ATTACHING ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS TO INTERACTIVE TEXTILES

This document describes techniques and devices for attaching electronic components to interactive textiles. In various implementations, an interactive fabric comprising conductive threads interlaced in the interactive fabric is obtained. The conductive thread comprises a conductive wire (eg, a copper wire) that is twisted, braided, or wrapped with one or more flexible threads (eg, polyester or cotton threads). A fabric release process is applied to the interactive fabric to strip interactive fabric fabrics and the flexible yarns to expose the conductive wire in an interactive textile window. After exposing the conductive wires in the interactive textile window, an electronic component (eg, a flexible circuit board) is attached to the exposed conductive wire of the conductive thread in the interactive textile window.
