Post-processing curves using non-uniformly scaled curves with cubic curvature variation

The present disclosure relates to the generation of post-processed curves that are aesthetically pleasing. To create an aesthetically pleasing, post-processed curve, a curve postprocessing system uses non-uniformly scaled CVC curves (Cubic Variation of Curvature CVC). For example, the curve-post-processing system does not scale a curve in a curve in a spline uniformly. Based on the scaling, the curve postprocessing system may generate CVC curves having desired endpoint edge conditions. Then, using the endpoint edge conditions, the curve postprocessing system can inversely scale down the non-uniformly scaled curve while preserving the endpoint edge conditions from the CVC curves to realize a reworked curve in the spline.
