The present invention relates to a process for management of faults with a management system controlling a motor of an aircraft. During a step of preparation (stpa), at least two breakdowns of the management system likely to occur are identified and stored in the aircraft (1), each breakdown being associated with a level of failure to choose between a first level to a breakdown, having no impact on the control of the aircraft (1) and a second level. Each breakdown of the first level is associated with a flight time authorized. If at least one of the said breakdown occurs, the level of breakdown of each breakdown is detected during a step of detection (stp4), during a step of the display (stp6) it is pointed out that, at least a breakdown of the first level occurred if no fault detected is a failure of the second level, the flight can then be continued for at least during a predetermined period.
