The invention relates to an aircraft propulsion assembly (6) having a mobile grid thrust reverser (12), comprising: - a motor (9) covered by a front cover (7) and a rear cover (8) both movable ; - movable grilles (12) carried by the rear cover (8) these grids being covered by the front cover (7) in normal operation, and extending in a space (E) separating the front cover (7) of the rear cover (8) when the back cover is shifted back; - two spaced arcuate frames (13, 14) surrounding the motor (9) for carrying actuators for moving the rear cover (8); the space (E) situated between the two arched frames (13, 14) being uncovered when the front (7) and rear (8) covers are shifted forwards and backwards; and wherein the two arcuate frames (13, 14) jointly carry a series of steps forming members (16) constituting a quick access ladder to the upper portion of the drive assembly.
