A device (dc) controlling the changes of ratio of a gearbox (bv) and comprises: - a coupling member (pc) coupled to a lever and to a control shaft (ac) of the gearbox (bv), - a housing fixed securely to the coupling piece (pc), and which contains a rotating mass of inertia (mi) comprising a fixed pinion, - a fixing piece (pf) attached fixedly to the gearbox (bv), and - a drive part (pe) mounted to rotate on the fixing piece (pf), partially housed in the housing, while being coupled in rotation with the latter, and comprising a toothed sector meshing pinion.
