A device for foot motion control and plantar pressure redistribution comprises an arch supporting main body 10 which supports the medial longitudinal arch (110, fig. 1), the transverse arch (120, fig. 1) and the lateral longitudinal arch (130, fig. 1) of the foot. The arch supporting main body comprises a rear end 10b having at least one side which extends towards the calcaneus, or heel, of the foot. A hind foot motion adjustment portion 20 modifies heel strike angles. The hind foot motion adjustment portion 20 may extend from either side of the arch portion, and may be hook-shaped. The device may have two hind foot motion adjustment portions (200, 201, fig. 6), one extending from either side of the rear end of the arch portion 10. The arch portion may have rigid reinforcement portions disposed therein, extending towards the lateral arch, the medial arch or the front end.
