The resonator i.e. stepped impedance resonator (803) has a high characteristic impedance line comprising determined length, and a low characteristic impedance line (8033). The high characteristic impedance line has a line cut (8031A), and a first link wire (8031B) with determined length to ensure determined impedance at the line cut. The line cut is produced at one third of overall length of a resonator body from a side of an end of the high characteristic impedance line opposite to another end of the high characteristic impedance line situated on a side of low characteristic impedance line. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a microwave resonator.
