A device for measuring the physical characteristics of a flow within a pipe is disclosed. In one exemplary embodiment, the device comprises a hollow ring (150) having an outer wall (190) fixably attached to a meter flange (110) that is inserted between two sections of pipe, and an inner wall (195) on which a sensor is mounted to facilitate accurate flow measurements.
