A test cup (1) for analysing a fluid specimen includes a bottom (2), a wall (3) extending from the bottom (2) and an opening (5) opposite the bottom (2), the bottom (2) and the wall (3) defining a cavity with an inner side (6) for accommodating a fluid specimen containing an analyte. The test region (10) and at least one of the location reference element (11) and the colour calibration reference element (12) are arranged on or at the bottom (2) such that they are in the same field of view (102) of a camera (101), when the camera (101) is placed in a distance to the bottom (2) and is facing the bottom (2).
