Provided are an iterative image reconstruction method, an iterative image reconstruction program, and a tomography apparatus capable of effectively performing image reconstruction by shorting computation time when performing image reconstruction using a successive approximation method. In this iterative image reconstruction method, in cases where the image quality after image reconstruction is insufficient when the image was obtained with the number of iterations of 100 times in the first image reconstruction processing, when resuming the image reconstruction, the number of iterations and the state variables at the end of the reconstruction in which the number of iterations is 100 times are read, and then the image reconstruction is resumed.
