The invention relates to an apparatus 100 for providing a weather forecast. The apparatus 100 comprises an interface 102 that is configured to receive a first forecast parameter of a first weather forecast model, to receive a second forecast parameter of a second weather forecast model different from the first weather forecast model and to receive measured reference data related to the first forecast parameter and the second forecast parameter. The apparatus comprises a processor 101 that is configured to assign a first weight factor to the first forecast parameter based on a comparison of the first forecast parameter with the measured reference data, to assign a second weight factor to the second forecast parameter based on a comparison of the second forecast parameter with the measured reference data, and to combine the first forecast parameter and the second forecast parameter based on the first weight factor and the second weight factor to obtain a combined forecast parameter. The interface 101 is configured to output the combined forecast parameter as a weather forecast. The apparatus 100 may be in communication with a memory 103. The invention further relates to a method for providing a weather forecast and a computer program product.
