PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blast furnace status condition determining device capable of accurately determining the occurrence of a blow through, and a method of operating a blast furnace.;SOLUTION: The blast furnace status condition determining device comprises: a plurality of measurement means provided at a plurality of measurement points around a furnace body of a blast furnace for measuring an amount indicating a ventilation state in the furnace; a classification means for classifying the amount measured by the plurality of measurement means into measured value data for each circumferential direction of the furnace body; a main component analysis means for performing main component analysis on the basis of the measured value data for each circumferential orientation of the furnace body; and a determination means for determining whether a value obtained by the main component analysis means exceeds a preset threshold value.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
