PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power demand management method.SOLUTION: A power demand management system includes a plurality of power-purchased electric household appliances and a power demand management server, where each of the plurality of power-purchased electric household appliances includes an authentication section managing an authentication key, a control set section which receives a power consumption control signal including a power reduction amount from the power demand management server and selects control information in response to the power reduction amount, and a power consumption control section including an operation control signal generation section generating an operation control signal based on control information selected by the control set section, and the demand management server can include a demand resource allocation section which allocates the power reduction amount to the plurality of power-purchased electric household appliances, a security section which encrypts the power consumption control signal based on the authentication key of the plurality of power-purchased electric household appliances, and a reduction management section which monitors the power consumption reduction amount in response to the power consumption control signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
