PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an image quality of an ink-jet recording device.SOLUTION: A droplet discharge device includes: a plurality of pressure chambers which are communicated with a plurality of nozzles and store ink; a diaphragm arranged over each of the pressure chambers so as to form an elastic wall of each of the pressure chambers; pressure generating elements arranged so as to face each of the plurality of pressure chambers through the diaphragm; a drive waveform generating section which inputs drive waveform data indicating the shape of the drive waveform driving the pressure generating elements to generate the drive waveform for each of the nozzles; a residual vibration detection part which detects a residual vibration generated in each of the pressure chambers after the pressure generating element has been driven; and a control section which corrects drive waveform data for each of the nozzles during printing based on the detection result of the residual vibration detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
