PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tar-contamination cleaning agent and a tar-contamination cleaning method allowing for efficient cleaning of tar-contamination in a portion contacting scrubber water for use in purification of coke oven gas.;SOLUTION: The tar-contamination cleaning agent is a chemical for cleaning tar-contamination in a portion contacting with scrubber water for use in a coke gas purifying apparatus while stopping the operation of the coke gas purifying apparatus, and includes a non-ionic surface active agent composed of polyoxyethylene aliphatic amine. The tar-contamination cleaning method for cleaning tar-contamination in a portion contacting scrubber water for use in a coke gas purifying apparatus includes bringing the tar-contamination in the portion contacting scrubber water for use in the coke gas purifying apparatus into contact with a cleaning solution containing a nonionic surface active agent composed of polyoxyethylene aliphatic amine while stopping the operation of the coke gas purifying apparatus.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
