PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body support device and a railway vehicle having the vehicle body support device which is capable of easily easing static wheel load unbalance of each of the front and rear bogies generated by initial twisting of the vehicle body.SOLUTION: A vehicle body support device for a railway vehicle comprises support mechanisms 111 and 112 that are respectively arranged between a front bogie 11 and a vehicle body and between a rear bogie 12 and the vehicle body in a vehicle travel direction and support the vehicle body to each bogie. The support mechanisms 111 and 112, when the railway vehicle passes on a track curve, restrict the front bogie 11 and the rear bogie 12 from simultaneously inclining toward the same direction in the vehicle width direction and allow the front bogie and the rear bogie to respectively incline toward different directions in the vehicle width direction, relative to the vehicle body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
