PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when a low speed extrusion speed of an exclusion press is 0.5 to 1 mm/s, tilt rate of a pump should be 15 to 30% and, when the tilt rate becomes less than 30% according to pump characteristic, fluctuation of pump discharge amount is large and precision of low speed exclusion speed is deteriorated, in the conventional extrusion press.;SOLUTION: In an extrusion speed control method of a main ram of an extrusion press which changes an extrusion speed of the main ram arranged on a main cylinder by changing an oil quantity to be supplied from a pump unit, a pump unit constituted by connecting an inverter motor to a driving shaft of a variable discharge pump is provided and, when it is necessary that the tilt rate is lowered to less than 30% in such a case that the variable discharge pump is driven at a rated speed of the inverter motor, the rotation number of the inverter motor is decreased and the tilt rate of the variable discharge pump is set to be 30% or more.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
