PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a star-shaped polymer high in polymerization yield, capable of using easily available materials, high in design freedom of a polymer structure and suitable for industrial manufacturing process.;SOLUTION: Provided is a manufacturing method of a star-shaped polymer having a process 1 for polymerizing a first monomer component containing a monomer represented by the following general formula (1) under a condition that a compound which may produce iodide ion exists to obtain a core polymer having a branch structure having a group which may be living radical polymerized at a branch terminal, and a process 2 for polymerizing a second monomer component containing the core polymer and a (meth)acrylic acid-based monomer under a condition that a compound which may produce iodide ion exists.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
