PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a grooving tool in which coolant supply passage changeover operation can be easily performed.;SOLUTION: A holder for a grooving tool comprises: a tabular body part having a pair of insert attachment parts diagonally positioned; and a closing part which is attached to one principal surface side of the body part. The body part is provided with: a pair of open holes which penetrates in a plate thickness direction; a pair of coolant supply passages which individually communicates with the pair of open holes, and individually extends to the vicinity of individual insert attachment parts; and a mounting hole which is provided for mounting the closing part, and is positioned between the pair of open holes.
