METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF MONOISOTOPIC MASS OF MOLECULAR SPECIES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a parameter relevant to mono isotopic mass or mass of isotopic isotope distribution.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: (i) measuring a mass spectrum of a sample using a mass spectrometer; (ii) dividing a measured range of m/z value of the mass spectrum of the sample; (iii) allotting some fragments of the range of the m/z value to one processor; (iv) estimating the distribution of isotopes of the ions having specific charge z on molecular species which is contained in the sample/generated from the sample based on the measured mass spectrum in the fragments of the range of the m/z value; and (v) estimating a parameter relevant to mono-isotopic mass of the molecular species or the mass of the isotope in the isotope distribution of isotopes out of the estimated distribution of isotopes of the ions having specific charge z on the molecular species which is contained in the sample/generated from the sample.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
