PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently acquiring useful information relating to an activity of a user (in particular, an activity when the user is not walking) of a portable terminal device, and of analyzing the activity of the user.;SOLUTION: An activity analyzing method includes: a sensor information acquiring step (S10) for acquiring sensor information from at least one sensor loaded on a portable terminal device; an activity determining step (S20) of determining the activity of a user on the basis of the sensor information; and an activity determining step (S30) of determining the activity of the user on the basis of the sensor information in accordance with the determination result in the activity determining step (S20).
