PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight saving technique capable of improving the reliability of flame holding at a high speed over a wide operation range of a scramjet engine, to thereby avoid thermal blockage.;SOLUTION: A cavity is used for the flame holding of a scramjet engine to be used over a wide range from a supersonic velocity to an extreme supersonic velocity.
