PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress molten metal spilling during molten metal pouring.SOLUTION: An automatic molten metal pouring device control method according to an embodiment includes: a step of calculating the falling position of molten metal on a horizontal surface passing through the height position of a sprue, the flow velocity of the molten metal at the falling position, and the sectional radius of the molten metal on the horizontal surface on the basis of the falling track of the molten metal flowing out from a tap hole; a step of generating an objective function regarding the total weight of the molten metal flowing from a ladle into a casting mold and dependent on a distance between the tap hole and the center of the sprue in a prescribed direction on the basis of the falling position, the flow velocity of the molten metal at the falling position, the sectional radius of the molten metal on the horizontal surface, the radius of the sprue, the flow rate of the molten metal flowing out from the tap hole, and the density of the molten metal; and a step of calculating a distance between the tap hole and the center of the sprue in a prescribed direction in which the total weight of the molten metal flowing from the ladle into the casting mold becomes largest on the basis of the objective function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
