PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of sweet potato malt capable of easily providing a malt substrate of sweet potato and easily manufacturing sweet potato malt using the sweet potato as malt substrate.SOLUTION: The method has a slice process for slicing raw sweet potato, a drying process for drying the sliced raw sweet potato, a crushing process for crushing the dried sweet potato, and a malt incubating process for obtaining sweet potato malt using crushed pieces of the crushed dried sweet potato as a malt substrate. In the crushing process, the dried sweet potato is preferably crushed by press.
