PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice dialogue device, a voice dialogue method, a voice dialogue program and a robot which can provide topics corresponding to the infants' activity and topics easy to talk for infants.SOLUTION: The topic providing device 100 comprises a topic candidate extraction unit 206 which, when it is determined that the parent and child are talking with each other and it is determined that it is necessary to provide newly topics to the parent and child, extracts, based on the conversation history database 202 and the infant's activity database 204 to store the activity items showing the items which the infant acted during the first prescribed period, a topic candidate corresponding to the activity items and not corresponding to the activity items contained in the recorded text data in the first database, a providing topic determination unit 207 to select one topic to be provided to the parent and child among the topic candidates, a voice synthesis unit 106 to generate the voice data containing the one topic, and a speaker 107 to output the voice data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
