TILT-TYPE GRAVITY CASTING APPARATUS AND TILT-TYPE GRAVITY CASTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt-type gravity casting apparatus which does not cause the occurrence of shrinkage cavities near a sprue runner and can produce a high-quality cast product; and to provide a new tilt-type gravity casting method using the apparatus.;SOLUTION: A tilt-type gravity casting apparatus 1 includes a mold 2 provided with a ladle 7. Molten metal M is stored in the ladle 7. When the mold 2 is tilted, the molten metal M is poured into a cavity 6 of the mold 2 through a sprue runner 5. In addition, the tilt-type gravity casting apparatus 1 includes: a blocking member 18 for blocking the sprue runner 5; a pressurization pin 23 for pressurizing the molten metal M in the cavity 6; and an auxiliary pressurization pin 53 installed between the blocking member 18 and the pressurization pin 23, for pressurizing the molten metal M in the sprue runner 5.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
