PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce computation time in a heat transfer computation while defining a mold model and a green tire model in a short time.;SOLUTION: A method performs, using a computer, heat transfer computation between a mold having a protrusion for forming a groove and a green tire having a groove formed on the outer surface by the protrusion while being in contact with the mold. The method of heat transfer computation includes the steps of: defining a mold model 21 obtained by discretizing the mold with a plurality of elements in a computer; defining a green tire model 32 obtained by discretizing the green tire with a plurality of elements; and the step where the computer computes the heat transfer through a contact surface 40 between the green tire model 32 and the mold model 21. The mold model 21 is defined including a first part with at least some of the protrusion eliminated. The green tire model 32 includes a second part for embedding a part of the groove corresponding to the first part of the mold model 21.
