PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a work-piece in a punching/laser composite processing machine and to provide the punching/laser composite processing machine capable of minimizing a width dimension in an X direction.SOLUTION: In a processing method of a work-piece by means of a punching/laser composite processing machine 1 including: a punch and a die which perform punching processing to the planar work-piece W; a laser processing head 25 which performs laser processing to the work-piece W; and a work-piece movement positioning device 13 which can perform freely movement positioning of the work-piece W in X, Y axis directions with respect to the punch, die and the laser processing head 25, the punching processing of the work-piece W is performed while a lower end part on the laser processing head 25 is turned so as to rise, the laser processing head 25 is returned to an original state and the laser processing of the work-piece is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
