PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery method capable of simply and speedily recovering selenium and tellurium from a molten chloride without performing electrolysis.SOLUTION: A recovery method is designed so as to include a reaction/separation step (S1) in which a molten chloride and a metal oxide are contacted to make selenium and tellurium dissolved in the molten chloride react with a metal oxide so as to form a metal selenide and a metal telluride to separate from the molten chloride, and a recovery step of recovering the metal selenide and the metal telluride (S2). Further, a contact area between the metal oxide and the molten chloride is increased by increasing a specific surface area of the metal oxide. Still further, in the reaction/separation step (S1), any one or both of stirring the molten chloride and moving the metal oxide in the molten chloride is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
