PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material charging device in a rotary hearth furnace capable of charging raw material for reduction uniformly to a rotary hearth without producing a local difference in the distribution of the raw material for reduction in the radial direction of the rotary hearth.SOLUTION: Provided is a raw material charging device in a rotary hearth furnace comprising: a carrier machine 11 carrying raw material M for reduction in a direction crossed to a rotary direction R of a rotary hearth 3; and a scraper 20 cutting the raw material M for reduction carried by the carrier machine 11 and guiding the same to the side surface side of the carrier machine 11. The scraper 20 includes: an upstream side scraper 21 guiding the raw material M for reduction toward the upstream side in the rotary direction R of the rotary hearth 3; and a downstream side scraper 26 guiding the raw material M for reduction toward the downstream side in the rotary direction R of the rotary hearth 3. At least either the upstream side scraper 21 or the downstream side scraper 26 is provided with charge position adjustment means adjusting the position in the radial direction of the rotary hearth 3 of the charged raw material M for reduction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
