PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide a specified quantity of liquid to a thermal convection generation flow passage.;SOLUTION: A thermal convection generation chip used in a thermal convection generator which generates thermal convection in a liquid by the application of a centrifugal force thereto while simultaneously heating or cooling the liquid is provided, in a disk-shaped substrate, with a liquid supply path which connects to and supplies liquid to a thermal convection flow path. The liquid supply path is provided with: a connection part which connects the thermal convection flow path to a liquid storage part which stores the liquid injected through an inlet for injecting the liquid therethrough forming an opening on the top face of the disk-shaped substrate; and an inclined portion which inclines upward toward the inlet from the inlet-side top face of the liquid storage part between the liquid storage part and inlet.
