PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forest resource information calculation method capable of calculating forest resource information with high accuracy by extracting a tree crown corresponding to each tree with high accuracy.SOLUTION: The forest resource information calculation method includes: tree crown high image data creation processing (step S30) for creating tree crown high image data on the basis of survey object forest region image data created on the basis of laser measurement data and geographical information; tree crown high image data noise processing (step S40) for executing noise removal processing included in the tree crown high image data; precise tree crown image data creation processing (step S50) for creating precise tree crown image data for enabling the extraction of a tree crown corresponding to each tree of survey object trees on the basis of noise processing-executed tree crown high image data; precise tree crown information creation processing (step S60) for creating tree crown information relevant to a tree crown corresponding to each tree from the precise tree crown image data; and forest resource information calculation processing (step S70) for creating forest resource information about a survey object forest region on the basis of the precise tree crown information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
