COGNITIVE FUNCTIONAL IMPROVING AGENT WHICH CONTAINS AS AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT MICELLAR EXTRACT OF PROPOLIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide propolis compositions for improving decreased cognitive function due to the decreased function of NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor.;SOLUTION: A cognitive function improving agent contains as an active ingredient a micellar extract of propolis, preferably the micellar extract being a propolis ingredient soluble to a medium containing a plurality of OH groups which can bind hydrogen. More preferably, the propolis ingredient is obtained by making propolis pieces or propolis powders present in a media in which a polyol/fatty-acid-ester system surfactant is uniformly dissolved or stably dispersed and which contains a plurality of OH groups which can bind hydrogen, and by mixing and stirring in temperature conditions of 50 to 100°C.
