PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that proposes (finds) a parking lot which is close to a driver and the driver can park there and then by providing a parking lot vacancy detection device capable of obtaining and transmitting vacancy information on all parking lots having a vacancy indicator and a parking lot information distribution system using the device.;SOLUTION: A parking lot vacancy detection device includes: an optical sensor 31 for receiving light from part of a light-emitting region at a vacancy indicator light 11 of a parking lot; a radio communication unit 35; and a CPU 39 for having the radio communication unit 35 transmit vacancy information, i.e. an index to determine which the vacancy indicator light 11 displays, full occupancy or vacancy, on the basis of a light receiving result of the optical sensor 31.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
