PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a watching person to learn a detected current state of a watched person in detail.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device includes: a signal receiving unit for receiving a short-range communication signal including a signal identifier from a communication apparatus carried around by a watched person; an event occurrence determination unit for determining whether an event related to the watched person has occurred from a reception history of short-range communication signals including the same signal identifier; a confirmation information acquisition unit for acquiring information for confirming a state of the watched person if it is determined that an event related to the watched person has occurred; and an information transmission unit for transmitting information for confirming the state of the watched person in association with the signal identifier.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
