PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread monitoring method for monitoring a yarn to be produced by a yarn quality sensor during its manufacture and detecting a yarn defect, and a textile device comprising a device for monitoring the yarn at a workstation including workstation rows installed adjacently.SOLUTION: A control device (8) transmits information on the ongoing running situation of on-line and real-time workstations to a yarn quality sensor (9), and accordingly the thread quality sensor (9) adjusts a thread (3) monitor process and the yarn (3) parameter evaluation process so that the adjusted thread (3) quality monitor process is transmitted to the control device (8) to determine the subsequent process at the workstation. Also, the yarn quality sensor (9) and the control device (8) are interconnected to each other using on-line and real-time bidirectional transmission of parameters of the yarn (3) to be produced and information on a state change at the work station.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
