PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot type optical fiber cable, accommodating an intermittently fixed optical fiber tape, that suppresses an increase in transmission loss of an optical fiber.SOLUTION: A slot type optical fiber cable comprises: intermittently fixed optical fiber tapes 31; a slot core 2, being a slot core 2 having slots 21 on an outer peripheral part 22, that houses in the slots 21 the optical fiber tapes 31 grouped in a bundle shape; roughly-wound strings 4 that are spirally wound on the outer peripheral part 22 of the slot core 2; and a sheath 6 that houses the slot core 2 wound by the roughly-wound strings 4. The outer peripheral part 22 of the slot core 2 and the roughly-wound strings 4 are bonded together.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
