PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for a parallel analysis in a mass analysis and an ion mobility analysis.SOLUTION: A method includes steps of: ionizing a chromatographically separated sample, sending the sample to devices on a subsequent stage, using the ion mobility analyzing device to analyze at least part of the ionized sample and then acquiring an ion mobility spectrum; and using the mass analyzing device to analyze at least other parts of the ionized sample and then acquiring a mass spectrum. At that time, time for acquiring each ion mobility spectrum and each mass spectrum is equal to or shorter than five seconds. The method uses a deconvolution algorithm to execute data processing of associating a peak in the ion mobility spectrum and a peak in the mass spectrum with each other, in accordance with holding time for the same analyte in the chromatograph or consistency in an elution profile.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
